Wedding on the beach in Bali

The couple decided on a destination wedding in Bali — the place of their first overseas holiday together. Couple: Kelly & Keith Location: Ma Joly Restaurant, Tuban, Bali It was also the perfect setting to have a relaxed, tropical wedding. Designed by Melanie Ford, the bride’s gown was made from luxurious and light fabric that ensured Kelly would be comfortable in the hot weather. The gown featured an Italian guipure lace bodice beaded with Swarovski crystals to the hip and flowing chiffon over the skirt. Kelly and Keith opted for an outdoor reception on the beach at Ma Joly Restaurant in Tuban, Bali. The sunset reception had a very relaxed feel, despite a small earthquake taking place earlier that day! Bongo boys were playing as guests arrived and the couple danced the night away, barefoot, surrounded by 60 of their closest friends and family. Bride's Advice: “Make sure your wedding reflects your personalities and you will have the dream wedding you always imagined.”

A Wedding With Breathtaking Views

This happy couple enjoyed a spectacular Blue Mountains wedding with classic royal blue tones. Couple: Hailey & Jared Location: The Carrington Hotel, Katoomba Hailey and Jared first met at Jared’s sister’s birthday party and then again a year later, at his sister’s wedding. “We locked eyes, we talked, we danced, we laughed and we shared some food on the beach, talking till 3am,” says Hailey. “Then, like the perfect gentleman, he walked me back to my room and kissed me goodnight on the forehead.” The engagement came about in Fiji when the couple headed out along the beachfront one evening for dinner. “At the end of the pathway we noticed the private function area was unlocked and empty so we snuck in to take a look. The setting was beautiful and I stood gazing out at the view taking in the afternoon sunset.” This is where Jared chose to propose to Hailey. The couple both wanted a wedding away from the city with everything in one easy location. A love of old buildings and historical places made The Carrington the perfect location for the big day. The hotel’s classic beauty taken from the era it was built in led the theme of the day. A vintage royal blue and ivory colour scheme made for a classic ceremony on the balcony of The Carrington, followed by a reception in the Grand Dining Hall. A grand dining hall calls for a grand feast. The newlyweds’ 110 guests dined on beef fillets on Tasmanian potato with buttered vegetables, grenadine onions and a brandy jus, and chicken breast fillet wrapped in prosciutto filled with herbed risotto served with pumpkin purée, asparagus and Dijon cream were served. This was all followed, of course, by a chocolate and white chocolate mud wedding cake. Bride's Advice: “Pick a venue that has a co-ordinator so there is somebody who can do all the little things that need doing on the day
