The Car of Choice for a Modern Wedding

This couple celebrated with an elegant modern ceremony, and an Italian flavoured reception Couple: Shardan & Antonio Location: Le Montage To celebrate Antonio’s Italian background, the couple and their 190 guests enjoyed a meal of Italian cuisine at premier venue Le Montage, which has a touch of Italian flavour. The couple even honeymooned in Italy! Shardan wore an elegant Henry Roth wedding dress from Dressense in Miranda, made from Chantilly lace with Swarovski beading. Worn with a pair of unique, lace-up boots, the look complemented the vintage feel of the wedding. The bridesmaids wore Alfred Angelo chiffon gowns in celadon (pale green), each with an elegant pearl brooch. The groomsmen wore brown velvet bowties in keeping with the vintage theme. After a beautiful ceremony at St John’s Anglican Church in Camden, the couple and their large party headed to Le Montage for a luxurious waterfront reception. The beautiful interior and bay views made this venue the perfect place to celebrate their marriage. The celebrations began as Shardan and Antonio entered the grand ballroom accompanied by an accordion player. A highlight of the night was when Shardan and Antonio shared their first dance as a married couple to “This Year’s Love” by David Gray. Bride's Advice: “Embrace the planning process and the day, because it goes so fast.”

Divine Love at Chateau Elan

A low-key Hunter Valley wedding was perfect for this loved-up couple LOUISE & NEIL CHATEAU ELAN AT THE VINTAGE, HUNTER VALLEY After weeks of glancing over at each other at the gym, Louise finally got the courage to contact Neil by sending him a Valentine’s Day card. “It worked. And from that point, we never looked back. Eight years later, I was getting ready to pack for an overseas trip and I opened my empty suitcase only to find a beautiful ring inside,” says Louise. Louise and Neil wed at the gorgeous Carriage House at Chateau Elan in Rothbury, with a rustic country-chic theme. “We chose this theme because we wanted to get married away from the hustle and bustle of the city and, instead, have an intimate and relaxed country wedding,” Louise says. The bride walked down the aisle in a strapless ivory and tulle gown by Maggie Sottero. The cut was A-line with a sweetheart neckline and included a stunning Swarovski crystal belt, complete with a flower. The bridesmaids wore gorgeous Midnight-Blue strapless dresses by Bridesmaids Only. The reception was held at the same venue in order to take advantage of the all-in-one location as well as the beautiful view of the rolling hills and vineyards. Guests were treated to a classic game of croquet, as well as a delicious three-course meal in the cream-and-ivory decorated Barrington Room. There was a hint of whimsy as the cake featured the newlyweds with their dog and there were gorgeous vintage jars with baby’s breath hanging from the wooden beams. BRIDE’S ADVICE “It is true when they say that the day flies by, so my advice would be to make sure that on the day, you and your new husband take some time together where you can be alone, sit back for a minute, watch from afar and take it all in. You will be so glad you did and you will remember those few moments and what you said to each other forever.” CONTACTS BRIDE’S GOWN Maggie Sottero BRIDE’S SHOES Shoes of Prey JEWELLERY Swarovski BRIDESMAIDS’ DRESSES Bridesmaids Only GROOM’S SUIT Hugo Boss GROOMSMEN’S SUITS Oxford PHOTOGRAPHY Popcorn Photography HAIR & MAKEUP The Salon at Chateau Elan CAKE Frosted Fantasies Cake Design FLOWERS Peonies Floral Designer ENTERTAINMENT XYDJ TRANSPORT Hunter Valley Classic Carriages HONEYMOON Hawaii

Every part of your sensational and glorious wedding is magical, right from the moment that you walk down the aisle, to the moment that you both drive off into the sunset on your sweet honeymoon way... However, a major part of the whole planning has to be the wedding reception. It's a huge part of the day and the wedding reception needs to be precision planned to make sure it's on cue in every way, shape and form! Yet what is the wedding reception etiquette? There's so many things that you need to organize and the wedding reception (or even the wedding receptions – some of you may feel the need for a couple), is looming and you need to be writing out the wedding reception invites – and fast!

The Wedding Reception

Do I Have To Invite Everyone To The Ceremony And The Wedding Reception?
It's becoming more and more fashionable, particularly where ceremony venues are limited in space, to have intimate family members only to the official tying of the knot and then your other friends and more distant family members to the wedding reception only. The only time it becomes unacceptable is an invite to the ceremony and not to the wedding reception.

We're Both From Different Countries: What Is The Invitation Etiquette For The Wedding Receptions When You're Having Two
It's becoming more common as days go by for the necessity for two wedding receptions. It may be clear that certain people won't be able to attend the ceremony alongside the wedding reception, yet they'll be available for the wedding reception that's not on the actual day that you get married. However, if they are close family members or friends, you will want to invite them anyhow to exhibit that they are a well respected member of your entourage of life!

Do I Wear My Wedding Gown To Both Of The Wedding Receptions?
Generally, you wouldn't wear your gown for the wedding reception that you'll be attending for those who couldn't make the wedding day itself. However, it's not a hard and fast rule! Wearing your wedding dress for your second wedding reception is not such an unusual idea!

Do We Have To Leave The Wedding Reception By Midnight?
Some couples love to stay at the wedding reception right until the end. They want to party the night away with their friends and family and spend the wedding reception enjoying themselves, to the full potential. No one is going to throw you out of the wedding reception; you may want to stay there until you see the sun rise up the following morning! One of the most important things about the wedding reception is to enjoy it. It's that one and only day of your life that you'll never experience again.

The wedding reception is a big part of that and is there to be loved and appreciated.
