Rembrandt combines the principles of classic tailoring with modern designs and technology to produce handsome custom-made suits Groom taller than 6ft? The team at Rembrandt won’t even bat an eyelid. In operation since 1946, they have a wealth of experience in making grooms of every style and size look dapper on their wedding day. Rembrandts custom-fit expertise extends not just to the groom, but also to bringing together a bridal party of different sizes. The company has a variety of slim, regular and classic fits, as well as a range of styles, fabrics and accessories to choose from. Whether you want a traditional tux or vintage-inspired pinstripe suit, Rembrandt will be able to meet your requirements. Rembrandt’s director, Elias Boumelhem, says the company’s motto is “Cut, cloth, character”. According to Elias, “We focus on making the groom look his best, which you could say is just as much for the bride as it is for the groom himself. Our strength is the fact that we fit all shapes and sizes. So when you have a bridal party of all different sizes, we are unmatched when it comes to fit, fabric choice and price.” Being the manufacturer as well as the retailer, Rembrandt can be more flexible, affordable and timely than a standard suit shop. For such quality and attentive service, the company’s prices are surprisingly low. Wool suits start from only $300 and shirts from $65. Rembrandt can help completely kit out the groom and groomsmen, not just with a beautiful suit but also with shirts, ties, shoes, cufflinks and even elegant pocket squares. If buying accessories is not top of the priority list, then you can take advantage of the company’s hire service. For those who don’t know where to start, Rembrandt has many examples of suits, fabrics and images of previous wedding parties to help make finding the perfect suit easy.

Here comes the perfect Groom and his suit

This was a relaxed and beautiful day for this committed couple Couple: Kylie & Tim Location: Deckhouse, Woolwich Tim and Kylie met when they were teenagers watching the fireworks at Blues Point Reserve on New Year’s Eve. Their mutual friends wanted to meet up and dragged them both along. “Fast forward almost seven years and, at the very same spot, Tim proposed to me after a sunset walk. While I was looking away, Tim dropped down on one knee and, when I turned around, he was there with a stunning ring he had designed himself. After he asked me to marry him, it took me what felt like 10 minutes before I remembered to say ‘yes’. It was totally unexpected!” says Kylie. After a year of planning, they got married at Clarkes Point Reserve and then celebrated at Deckhouse, Woolwich, with a relaxed theme inspired by Australian nature. They weren’t let down by the elements either: the forecast was for rain but the couple was blessed with gorgeous sunshine instead. Kylie wore a beautiful vintage lace, ivory slimline gown with cap sleeves, a sweetheart neckline and a low V-back from Halo Bridal Designs in Crows Nest. Her bridesmaids wore coral dresses from ModCloth with delicate layers and ornate lace bodices. The groom wore a classic custom-made suit in grey from Rembrandt with an ivory Ganton shirt and matching tie. His groomsmen wore the same, with coral ties to bring the wedding party together. At the Deckhouse reception, their 74 guests dined on canapés then a three-course meal followed by a two-tier chocolate and white chocolate cake decorated with their initials. Kylie and Tim took ballroom classes to practise for their first dance to the classic ‘Songbird’ by Eva Cassidy. Their guests then joined them on the dance floor to boogie the night away. Like a lot of brides, Kylie says the day was over before she knew it. “It was surreal and almost like an out-of-body experience. Tim and I couldn’t stop smiling — our cheeks were hurting! It was so nice to have our two families meet and all our friends there to share the special day. If only I could do it all over again!” Bride's Advice: “Plan, prepare and party! Try and get as much done as early as possible and then take some time to relax before the big day. When at your wedding, forget about any slip-ups, just laugh it off because it is not worth it. Just breathe, take some time out with your new husband and have fun. After all, this is just the first step to a long and happy life together.”
