Is a Hot Rod Right For You?

For this couple, it was love at first dance Couple: Kelly and Brad Unexpected Engagement It was love at first dance for Kelly and Brad, who first met at a local night club six years ago. One night after years of dating and the recent purchase of their new home, Brad surprised Kelly with a Tiffany & Co ring. “It was one of the most exciting days!” says Kelly. Blushing Bride The couple spent seven months planning their wedding of 135 guests, deciding on a neutral colour scheme with Blushing Pink pastel bridesmaids' dresses and white rose bouquets. Kelly looked gorgeous in a sparkling strapless gown by Stella York. Brad and his groomsmen were handsomely dressed in suits from Raffaele Ciuca, accessorised with watches from Angus & Coote. Arrive in Style The ceremony was held at the St. Andrews church in Werribee followed by photos in the beautiful Fitzroy Gardens. The bridal party hired DR ROD Hot Rod Hire to transport them comfortably and stylishly between the ceremony, park and later the reception at the glamorous Manor on High in Epping. “The cars were absolutely amazing and the boys driving the cars were even nicer!” reflects Kelly. Bride's Advice: “Enjoy every minute of your day. Don’t spend it stressing out about things you can’t control because the day goes by so quickly! You want to look back and have no regrets; I know I certainly don’t have one! It also helps to choose the right people on the day, such as photographer, videographer etc.”

Incredible Princess Inspired Gown

This happy couple celebrated together by the water’s edge in Sydney. Couple: Piers & Angela Location: Sergeants Mess, Chowder Bay Piers and Angela first met at a house-warming party a few days before Valentine’s Day. They got chatting, started dating, and the following year Piers asked Angela to marry him. “He had arranged a sea plane to fl y us from Catalina’s, Rose Bay, to Palm Beach to meet some friends at Jonah’s, Whale Beach, for lunch. The weather was terrible, with far too much wind for the plane to take off, though, so we were forced to make our way there in a taxi. Once we got there, I found out no-one was meeting us and Piers proposed while we were blown about outside by the crazy winds!” After 10 months of planning, Piers and Angela tied the knot at St Clements Church, Mosman. Angela wore an ivory, fi gure-hugging, mermaid-style dress in lace designed by Louise Alvarez of Louise Alvarez Couture in Roseville. The front of the dress featured a stunning low scoop neckline and at the back, a deep V was followed by covered buttons trailing down to meet a longer flare at the bottom of the dress. Piers wore a dark-grey morning suit from Peppers, as did the groomsmen and pageboy. The reception was held at Sergeants Mess, Chowder Bay. “The one thing we kept hearing was how happy we both looked — which showed in our photos and video. We won’t forget how much love was in the room and how happy our friends and family were to be there celebrating our marriage with us. It was the perfect day.” Bride's Advice: “My advice for the lead-up to a wedding is to get all the big things organised and booked in the first few months of your engagement — even if your wedding is not for another 18 months. The little things can wait, however not too long. Use your networks, friends and bridesmaids and delegate the tasks that don’t need your personal touch. Staying calm and organised in the lead-up to a wedding makes all the difference to your sanity, your relationship and your health.”
