In 2012, Ky Luu was named SA’s Wedding Photographer of the Year by the Australian Institute of Professional Photography (AIPP). The following year (2013) Ky Luu also took out the most prestigious wedding photography title in Australia — the AIPP 2013 Australian Wedding Photographer of the Year. In the same year, Ky Luu went on to win first place in the 2013 International Loupe Awards, competing against some of the world’s best wedding photographers. Ky Luu was the first South Australian to be accepted into the prestigious Artistic Guild of the Wedding Photojournalist Association (AG|WPJA) and has also been awarded 1st place in the world for the reception category. To be accepted in the AG|WPJA, photographers must prove they can excel both in creating outstanding images through a documentary approach and in the art of post-production processing of wedding photographs.
