A Chateau Wedding That Was Meant To Be

A classic French-inspired wedding at the gorgeous Chateau Yering Hotel Couple: Mariko and Michael Location: Chateau Yering Hotel Michael proposed to Mariko on Pyrmont Bridge in Sydney at the exact spot where they had first met while going to a friend’s birthday party. They quickly fell very much in love. The couple spent a year carefully planning their wedding. Their first decision, made a year in advance, was to have Chateau Yering Hotel as the perfect venue for both their ceremony and reception. The couple opted for a classic, French-inspired theme incorporating colours of ivory, lavender and pink throughout their flowers and outfits. “We loved the venue and the surrounds and wanted to have a wedding to match it,” says Mariko. Despite typical rainy Melbourne weather, the couple and staff at Chateau Yering persevered with their plan to have the ceremony in the beautiful garden. The professional staff drew on their years of experience dealing with weddings and the Melbourne weather, and were able to successfully make the garden ceremony a reality for the couple. Mariko says her favourite moment of the day was when she and Michael held hands at the stunning garden altar, looking deeply into each others’ eyes. Being surrounded by the natural beauty of the garden and their loving families is what made this moment especially memorable, one the couple will hold onto for a lifetime. Bride's Advice: “Don’t stress and plan ahead.”
