The breathtaking view and handmade touches made this wedding both epic and detailed Couple: Eliska & Aaron Location: Allview Escape, Blackheath Aaron proposed to Eliska in Paris under a big tree in Parc des Buttes Chaumont. Eight months later, in front of 40 family members and friends, they married under a big tree in the stunning grounds of Allview Escape. The wedding had a vintage, rustic, chic theme with a colour scheme of grey, blush, and peach. Eliska and Aaron’s wedding was full of personal, handmade touches. Eliska designed her beautiful, flowing gown, which was made by a friend, and had a friend make her fabric bouquet. The couple also made their own confetti, envelopes, seating tags, and photo booth (with Polaroids as instant bomboniere) and used their own car, “Stacey”, for transport. Both ceremony and reception were held at Allview Escape, which features 20 acres of beautiful gardens and arguably the best view in the Blue Mountains. Guests enjoyed a delicious menu — courtesy of St Mounts Blackheath's caterers — of canapés, including hot soup shooters and seared scallops, as well as treats from a hot-chocolate bar and a cheese and wine bar. Music by Ella Fitzgerald and Frank Sinatra played as guests mingled, all the while gazing over panoramic valley views. Bride's Advice: “Be yourself as a couple and as individuals. Just don’t forget to add your personal touch to it.”
This Perth couple wed in a country-styled ceremony, overlooking the gorgeous Blue Mountains landscape. Couple: Cassandra & Keith Location: Allview Escape, Katoomba Cassandra met Keith at Newcastle University when they were studying in 2002. Cassandra was from Mudgee and Keith from Brisbane. The couple were next-door neighbours in one of the university campus dormitories and quickly became friends. Their strong connection stayed, even after distance, life and work commitments got in the way over the following six years. “In 2008, we reunited face to face in Newcastle and decided we couldn’t be apart any longer. Sparks flew!” says Cassandra. The couple moved to Perth and had a son, Kian. Although the day had a weather forecast of 80 per cent chance of rain, it turned out beautifully for their open-air ceremony. In front of the couple’s 90 guests (including children), the pair said “I do” overlooking the beautiful Blue Mountains at Allview Escape. Cassandra walked down the aisle in a stunning one-shoulder Kyra gown from Tuscany Bridal boutique, and donned a gorgeous white fl oral hairpiece. “Our celebrant, Judy Spencer, created a ceremony totally beyond our expectations. It was absolutely touching and many of our guests commented on what an amazing ceremony she had put together,” says Cassandra. Nature put on a spectacular show at midnight, with a lightning display over the Sydney skyline. Bride's Advice: “Involve your friends and family in the process, especially on the day. Our wedding was a creation that came together with the help of both our families and this made it all the more special to us and, we hope, our loved ones.”
