1. Emotional moments caught on tape
All of the best moments of your wedding will be caught on tape if you choose to have a videographer at your wedding. While photos can capture a snapshot in time, video captures the whole moment. Being able to look back and listen to your vows again, or your father’s speech, is a special gift you will have for the rest of your life.
Video also captures candid moments that a photographer cannot. Behind the scenes with your bridesmaids while getting ready can be one of the funniest parts of the whole day, and a video will effortlessly capture that moment. Photos can sometimes be too staged, or miss the authentic moments of the day.
2. Special memories and messages
You will be busy on your wedding day, and so you may not be able to spend as much time as you hoped with each of your friends and family. Videographers often get guests to leave messages for the happy couple. This is the ultimate message book, as not only do you get the beautiful message, but you get to hear it from the mouth of the person who has left it, with all the intended love and emotion.
3. Sharing your day
While you would love for all your close family and friends to be able to make the wedding, it isn’t always the case. People living overseas or relatives who might be too sick to attend will be sorely missed on the big day, but knowing they can still see the important moments afterwards is a comfort. Sharing photos is nice, but being able to play the whole ceremony or the first dance is even better.
Videographers will also often give couples a short highlights video which is easily shareable on social media, so friends that weren’t able to come can still share your special memories.
4. Missed moments
The most common thing married couples say about their wedding day is that it went so fast they could barely catch a breath. Months of planning comes down to one day, and time flies at the wedding. Having a videographer record the day for you means any moments you missed on the day because you were off with the photographer or in the bathroom will be able to be watched and enjoyed after the day. Missed your cousin break out the worm on the dancefloor? No problems, you can watch it many, many times, and bring it out at every family event.
5. Relive the day vividly
One of the biggest advantages of having your wedding day recorded is that you can relive the memories years on. Time can warp memories, and so whether you choose to watch it every year on your anniversary or just once every ten years, you will be able to relive your day with exact detail.
Being able to share your wedding with your children and even your grandchildren is one of the best things about having a wedding video. No matter what happens or where you end up, you will be able to watch together and relive happy memories.
