TARA & JAKE 29.03.14 TERRIGAL SURF LIFE SAVING CLUB
TROPICAL LOVE Tara and Jake met at a mutual friend’s 18th birthday party and, after seeing each other every day for about one month, the couple became “official” and started dating. Four years later, Jake proposed on their anniversary in Hawaii on Waikiki Beach.
FIT FOR A PRINCESS Tara walked down the aisle at the Anglican Parish of Gosford to Ellie Goulding’s “How Long Will I Love You”. She wore a gorgeous Pronovias gown from Rhonda Hemmingway Couture in Double Bay. “It was very unusual, with the bodice being all feathers, and it was very princess-like without being too over the top and puffy,”says Tara. The bridesmaids wore soft Dusty-Pink gowns, which were converted into halter-neck dresses by a talented dressmaker. “We also had pocket squares made out of the same fabric as the bridesmaids’ dresses to match!” says Tara.
READY TO SHARE Guests dined on a buffet dinner at the Terrigal Surf Lifesaving Club catered by a local vegetarian cafe, which does meat when catering. The delectable buffet consisted of beef, Moroccan chicken, salmon, roast vegetables, organic breads and a selection of salads. “It was the most amazingly perfect and fun day I have ever experienced,” says Tara. “Usually being quite a stressed person, I thought it would be stressful but I have never been so relaxed and at ease.”
BRIDE’S ADVICE “Don’t stress the little things! Enjoy every moment of the day and have so much fun. I sure did.”
