How To Incorporate Children Into Your Wedding

Kids are an important part of your life, or maybe they're just an important part of your family. Incorporating them into the wedding doesn't have to be a pain!

Need to include children into your wedding day but not sure what role to give them?

Include them in your bridal party:

From flower girls to groomsmen, there is bound to be a spot for the little youngster of the family. All dressed up, they will be of great help to you on your wedding day (not to mention adorable!). Scattering rose petals on your path, guiding you down the aisle and carrying the rings on a royal cushion pillow are just some of the jobs you can allocate them.

Write your kids into your vows:

There is nothing more deep and meaningful than including your children in your wedding day vows. Your children represent your lifetime commitment to you and your partner and so they should definitely hold a special place on that delicate and thought-filled parchment.

Get your kids to walk you down the aisle with you:

Traditionally, it is the father of the bride who walks down the aisle with her. However, modern times have shifted this tradition aside and have made it socially acceptable to now have your kids walk you down the aisle to your true love.

Send them on a photo scavenger hunt:

Send off your little photographers with a disposable camera and get them snapping away tasks on a list. The list can include capturing photos of someone wearing red, two people kissing, two people holding hands or even someone dancing. This will keep them busy and provide you with some very special photos.

Make them part of the theme:

A great way to accentuate the theme of your wedding is to include your kids. For example, if you’re having a barn-style or country themed wedding, you could get the kids to walk around with dogs on leads. And, for a beach themed wedding, you could get them blowing bubbles during the wedding ceremony.

Lemonade stand service:

If the ceremony is going to be held outdoors in the summer, it may get quite hot. Why not have the little ones hand out glasses of cool lemonade to your guests?

Get them on the dancefloor:

This is probably one of the best ideas as kids are full of energy and will have enough to dance all night. This will keep them busy and it will add a young, vibrant vibe to your wedding celebrations.

 So get preparing!
